The UNB Crytography Group is currently helping in the international effort to crack the RC5 64bit encryption algorithm. Using a large number of computers working together in a distributed computing system, and using a brute force attack (trying all possible keys), the distributed.net team is trying to be the first to publicly break a 64bit encryption cipher.
